The famous skijump Holmenkollen gives you an incredible view of Oslo, from its position on one of the hills surrounding the town.
For an entrance fee you can climb all the way to the top of the skijump and enjoy the marvellous views over Oslo. The skijump is more than a houndred years old, but have been modified several times.
There are arrangements here both in summer and winter, but the most famous is the international skijumpcompetition in march. Thousands and thousands of people gather here, and most people go for the atmosphere not only for the sport.
Inside the museum you can see skies from different periods of time, learn more about the history of skijumping and see plenty pictures of the sport.
Take the metro (t-bane) in the direction of 'Frognerseteren' and go out at the 'Holmenkollen' station.
