Karl Johansgate is the main street of Oslo, running from the trainstation to the castle.
Most of the way Karl Johansgate is a pedestrian zone, and you can find all kinds of things there; from shops, restaurants, bars, cafees and discos, to historical buildings.
On the nationalday of Norway, 17th of May, the parade is walking along Karl Johansgate all the way up to the castle, and thousands of people are in the street. There are also plenty of people here on a normal day, and you can see all kinds of people performing on the street.
