Right next to the metrostation 'Tøyen' is the Munch-museum. Edvard Munch is perhaps the most famous norwegian painter, and he lived from 1863-1944. In the museum you can see a large amount of his work, including portraits and graphic works. |

The botanical garden was founded in 1814. Today there are more than a 1000 plants in the botanical garden, both from Norway and other places in the world. You can find waterfalls, nature trails, useful plants, aromatic plants and tropical plants. Everything is nicely organised and the atmosphere is quiet and friendly.

In the geological museum you can find precious stones and rocks, and also fossils including a dinosaur skeleton. It is situated in Toyen, with the botanical garden and zoological museum, all a part of the University in Oslo.
