Right next to the metrostation 'Tøyen' is the Munch-museum. Edvard Munch is perhaps the most famous norwegian painter, and he lived from 1863-1944. In the museum you can see a large amount of his work, including portraits and graphic works.

All of the metros stop in Tøyen-station. The museum lies right next to it, just follow the signs. Or you can take bus number 20 to the station called 'Munchmuseet', from the busstation you see the museum. It's also just a short walk from downtown.
